It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

& you better believe my tree is already up. To people who want to say, "but it's not even thanksgiving yet!" One month is NOT enough time to celebrate Christmas, it's just not.

The DIY's have been a daily thing around here & I have some to share with you!

Unfortunately, some of these are oldies and I don't have before pictures. BUT- I can give you an idea.

Every time I go thrifting I find these wooden wall hangings. I absolutely love them.

They are so versatile and you can do practically anything with them. I've made chalkboards, mod podged and just painted when I didn't have any other ideas & I just love them. ah! They usually have some sort of modpodged illustration on them, but you can remove it fairly easy with nail polish remover, or just paint over it!

Luckily, this time it was easily removable so I decided to clean it up nice, and go with a rustic Christmas decoration. Viola! Wood, white paint, and a skinny brush is all you need.
Simple, Wintery, & I love it.

For the next one I got this little Eagle of my eye aka a piece of wood decor waiting to happen, at goodwill for only 1.99. yay!

Before
I tried to peel off the eagle for the most part, (forgive me America) but it wouldn't fully come off, so I plopped a coat of white chalk paint on there and called it good. After I had a clean slate I went with a fun design I had seen on Pinterest.

After
A very merry Christmas to YOU, little gold deer.

I also picked up these little vintage gems at goodwill for 1.00. I love them! Teal & Coral, two of my favs.
XOXO

Thanksgiving Decor & Thrifting Goodies

Hey y'all!

I wanted to do a mini post here about my thanksgiving DIY's & some of my favorite Fall Thrifting Finds.

I cannot wait to decorate for Christmas, (I actually have already started) but I decided to throw out my thanksgiving ideas to keep myself occupied.

One of my favorite things to find when thrifting is these babies. They have SO much potential, and cost up to 17 dollars at craft stores. Luckily, I found this one for only 3.99 & it was a blue tag day, so it was 50% off. Yes.

The trunk pieces are so awesome because they are extremely versatile. This one was a big boy so I decided to go the chalkboard route.

I love chalkboards. Something about the rustic/modern look is so perfect, & you can change the message anytime you want. Year around décor for 2 bucks. That's what I'm talkin about y'all.

I also found a smaller version, (I seriously snatch them up whenever I see them) & decided to start a cheesy little tradition for Nick & I.

A Thankful Sign!
2014 is our first entry, and I'm excited to look back on all of the thankful's we come up with over the years.
My thanks: Our cats (duh.) The ocean, & my students. love those little schmecks.
Nicks: Our home & Our health.

I also really hit the jackpot and found this vintage pyrex serving bowl for 4.99. I love the colors & designs!! I had seen the bird a few times, and it was just so fat, cute & fall that I had to bring him home. Say hello to Phillip, whom I got for 1 dollar.

Last but not least, I was super excited when I saw this long gold & burnt Orange agate stone necklace for only 99 cents. Definitely has become a fall staple in my jewelry collection, and forces me to wear something with a little color. It's also reversible which makes me love it even more.

I also found some FREE pintable's from The Tom Kat studio. Check them out & make some decorations! weee!

XOXO

Let's get zen, y'all

Nick & I currently live in a cozy one bedroom apartment, and though luxury is something I'd love, our teeny bathroom is perfect for me.

Here's my tips on how to have a relaxing, perfect mini spa hour after a long day at work.

Step 1.
Candles.

Need I say more? Okay. Cat candles, that you found brand new at goodwill for 2 dollars. (Originally 28 at Anthropology.) Life cannot get better than 2 dollar cat candles.

Step 2. Lavender the ish out of that bathroom.

This is a tip I saw on Pinterest, and since I started doing it I truly love it. I love having the lavender in our shower because not only is the scent of lavender calming, it's also aesthetically pleasing. Adding Eucalyptus is also great and helps revitalize your senses in the morning! Yippee! You can usually keep your lavender up for as long as you want without a problem. I have had this batch up for about 4 weeks now.

Step 3. Bath Goodies.

These two are my saviors. In the Mason Jar I have my Ground Coffee Scrub (see below for link) and this bath powder I picked up at the mall. I love them!! Makes me feel fancy.

Step 4. Find something you like to do in the bath that relaxes you.

I usually bring my notebook in with my so I can jot down anything that comes to mind, make a to do list or do whatever comes to mind. I try to leave my phone out so that I don't stress myself out with anything. However- allow yourself some sort of access to Mariah Carey Holiday on Pandora. That is a necessity.

Step 5. Invite your cat.

Well, Hello.

I'm Tiffany! I made this blog to combine all of my favorite things and topics in one place. Lifestyle, DIY's, food, cats, thrifting finds, daily thoughts, and everything else that pops up.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Tiffany. I live near Seattle, WA & work with kids with autism, and they are 30x cooler than me.

I've been with my boyfriend Nick for a bit over 4 years now & we live together in a little apartment with our two fat cats, Totorro & Padme.

Nick & I had a nice little mini trip this weekend to Ocean Shores. We ate, took some couples sunset pictures (see below) & relaxed in the hot tub with 5 other people and desperately tried to avoid eye contact.

Thanks for joining me!

XOXO
